Local Advisory Committee

Local advisory committees help strengthen processes by bringing together perspectives that reflect the geographic proximity, interests, and diversity of the communities they serve. CreateTO and the City of Toronto are establishing a Local Advisory Committee (LAC) to provide a multi-stakeholder forum for discussion throughout the Danforth Garage Master Planning Study.

The LAC is a non-political advisory committee and will be composed of up to 20 interested and affected local organizations within Wards 29, 30, 31, and 32 (applications from individuals are not considered). In addition to seeking local representation and diversity of interests, consideration will be given to nominating candidates from the following equity seeking groups: women, young adults 18 to 30 years old, Aboriginal/First Nations Peoples, persons from visible minority groups, and people with disabilities.

All individuals interested in participating in the Danforth Garage Master Planning Study are welcome to attend upcoming Community Meetings. All Community Meeting details, including dates and venues, will be posted to this website as they become available.
